Savannah Ga port?

Has anyone heard that the city was getting a ship? my wife heard on the news that it was,possibly the Fasicnation..

I haven't heard anything from the company. I do know the good people of Georgia have been campaigning for a ship, just like we did here in South Carolina. If past history repeats itself they would test the market first by bringing a ship periodically for some runs. That's what they did in Charleston for several years.

I'm all for it if it happens - Another drive to port for me.

Again though, I haven't heard anything from the company, or even a hint of an impending announcement. I was quite shocked that we got the rejuvenated Fantasy. I would have been happy with the Holiday. It would also be a process of having a proper passenger terminal in place. Something the terminal in Charleston is still lacking. However, the city has voted and approved to build a new one in Charleston.

not a whisper was spoken last week while we were on the fascination or staying in Savannah. I would love to see a ship come to N C. Morehead sounds good!

Of course as Carnival adds ships they can service more ports. They are always looking for a new market. The Fantasy seems to be booking solidly since they brought it to Charleston, so that is a good indication they could use another ship/port in the area. So you never know. The Fantasy class ships are new enough that they won't be retiring them soon so as the Magic and the Breeze come into service it would free up ships they could service other smaller or newer ports with.
