Miracle Balcony Obstructed View

I am thinking about booking an obstructed view - I like the idea of being able to get some fresh air in the room, but probably won't spend a lot of time on the balcony. Is the view really bad or just okay? Thanks for your opinions.

Google "Carnival Miracle Obstructed Balcony" and go to images. You'll see many examples. It is mostly just the tops of life boats.

Van Beach.....I believe the Obstructed Balcony Cabins on the CCL Miracle are "French Balcony" Cabins.This cabin design offers a double door opening out to a tiny ledge with a railing!! The Cabin is large but it is not a true balcony.

Not sure if we're talking about the same thing, but I stayed in an obstructed room in Miracle in 2007. It had windowed doors that opened just a crack; they were blocked by a glass panel and there also were metal pillars and lifeboats in the vicinity. You couldn't go outside or anything, but I didn't care. I typically book oceanview obstructed because I like having light and being able to see what's going on outside, but I also like to save money. ;) If I can find a pic from that cruise, I'll post it. The room was great, by the way. I'd recommend it if all you're really looking for is being a step above an interior room and being able to see outside.

I had a life boat obstructed view on the Miracle in 2009. It was very good. The only obstructred part was looking down, we had a good view of the ocean and a full size balconey. Not a problem at all

CruiseDad.....Apparently You enjoyed an obstructed balcony on Empress Deck (5) which has a full balcony. There are obstructed view "French Balcony" Cabins below Empress Deck on Upper Deck (4) which have only double Doors opening immediately to a taffrail.

The Carnival Spirit, Miracle and Legend offer these types of Cabins.

Let me see if I can alleviate any confusion about the cabins with French Doors vs. Obstructed View Balconies without adding to it;

The cabins with the French Doors are not Obstructed View Balcony cabins. They are considered Interior cabins. They are on the Main deck - Category 4K.

The Obstructed View Balconies are on the Upper deck. They have full balconies. Category 7A and 9A Premium.
