Cool Miracle vs Valor vs Freedom
Getting ready to book a cruise and still can't make a decision on which ship to go on. I have it narrowed down to Miracle, Valor, and Freedom. All three are going to the Southern Caribbean with the same ports of call in March '12.
The cost is the biggest difference. I thought I had decided on the Miracle but it's the most expensive. Can you please give me your opinion on these ships, their value vs cost?

Miracle is $829
Valor is $649
Freedom is $719

Thank you!

It's the most expensive because it has the best itinerary (or at least the most unique). The Valor is the cheapest because it is one of many ships sailing that same itinerary. If you had asked in your other post ONLY about cost, I would have told you the Valor is the best bang for the buck. But you also asked about the ports... to me its worth the extra money to have the unique ports. But if you really only care about getting on a cruise ship and having a great time, the Valor is the obvious choice.

It comes down to a supply and demand thing for the cost.

The Miracle is also an eight night cruise, thus is more expensive. And also due to the demand for the unique itinerary that Jim noted. If price is a factor, then the Valor. If a unique itinerary on the best class of ships Carnival has is important, then the Miracle. The Miracle does not have the Seaside Theatre though. It more than makes up for it with design and layout.

Smile Miracle vs Valor vs Freedom
Thanks for the responses. The ports of call are the same for all 3 ships, thus the itinerary is the same for all three. All of them are 8 nights as well. so, I guess the difference is just the cost. I just didn't know if the food, rooms, entertainment, etc... was better on 1 ship versus the others. Any opinions?

Ah, I should have figured out you were referring to the 8 night on Valor. The food and entertainment should be comparable on all 3 ships. As I noted previously the Miracle doesn't have the Seaside Theatre. There are also some differences with the food outlets. The Valor and Freedom both have the Fish n Chips and Mongolian Wok outlets were the Miracle does not. Hope this helps.

I haven't been on the other two, but can attest that the Valor is a great ship!

Oh... then I take back what I said.. Book the Valor... if they are all the same itinerary then by all means save the money for the on board stuff... I thought the Miracle was the only 8 night cruise... Sorry about that.

The Valor is a great ship and there is certainly no reason to pay more for the others over it.

Thanks for all the information. I think we've decided on the Valor. Now it's time to start saving for it!
