I just returned yesterday from my Christmas cruise aboard the Carnival Dream and it was so much fun! I forgot to mention a couple of crew members/staff on my comment card and I was wondering if anyone who sailed from December 19th-26th can help me out. I heard the crew members receive promotions sometimes when they get a good review from a passsenger and I mentioned my cabin steward and waitstaff (specifically by name) on my comment card. I would like to know the name of one of the crew members who worked mainly on the Lido deck but also patrolled some of the upper decks too. He helped my family one day and I forgot to read his nametag. He sounded like he was from Eastern Europe and wore a white uniform. He deserves recognition for what he did for us, so if anyone can help, that would be greatly appreciated!!!
From the mention of the white uniform it sounds like he probably was an Officer. As LHP noted, they do appreciate the recognition. I do the same thing on the comment cards, giving praise for the crew members that went out of their way to help me in some way or provided exceptional service. I hate when I forget someone's name or didn't catch it as I've done in the past.

I know what you mean about missing folks.
On the Dream earlier this month, the Security folks were wonderful with our son. So I walked around on the last night with comment card in hand getting the exact names and spelling of the Security folks that had been so wonderful.
Now that he is 18 and can't go into Club 02 any longer...he hangs out at the disco from 11 - 11:30m.
I know I looked ridiculous...but I don't trust my "old timers brain" to remember to many names....
I wouldn't call that "looking ridiculous" Linda. I would bet that those security folks rarely (if ever) get comment card recognition (at least the good kind)... I am sure they appreciated it. Good for you! I can't wait for our Dream cruise.. we have to wait until school is out ...

We always fill out comment cards. We always send a letter in to Customer relations also. We keep a list of those that were helpful and the things we enjoyed on the cruise. We never forget to add our TA to the list.
Over 50% of the time our letter to customer relations has gotten us a very nice "thank you" back. That is not why we send it, but it has been nice.

Not ridiculous at all. I think my "old timers brain" is the same way. Sounds like a good idea to me. I'm usually rushing to fill the comment card out and sometimes forget some people by accident.
The thing with most cruise line comment cards is they don't have enough room for...comments. What is it usually, a small space where you might fit 20 words or less? Maybe I need to use that small space to complain about not having enough space to make comments!
I've left off people or things I wanted to remark about. People say "well, just attach a piece of paper from the stationery in the drawer". Number one, there is no way to staple it to the comment card, and number two, why should we have to use a make-shift method?
