Carnival Victory

Has anyone sailed the Victory recently? I am thinking about booking it for May 2012. The only thing I saw that I didn't like was that it doesn't have a steakhouse, but I could get over that by booking a cruise later on that has one!

Not recently.. 2009 was the last time we sailed on her. What do you need to know? Casanova Frankenstein was on her within the last 6 months I think.

What did you want to know? If you were going to ask if she was in good shape, my answer would be yes. Carnival takes good care of their ships and keep up with maintenance. So most are kept looking new.

No sure when her next dry dock is, but maybe they will figure out how to add a steakhouse? Far be it for Carnival to miss a revenue generation opportunity

I wish they would put one where the cigar bar (Oxford Lounge?) used to be before the smoking policy change.

The Victory was just in dry dock last November so it probably will be 2013 before she has another dry dock.

Thank you for the replies. Yes, I was just wanting to know what kind of shape she is in. What is the theme of the ship? Maybe Casanova can answer what kind of entertainment is on board.

I'll be leaving on my upcoming July cruise in Carnival Victory next week

YES I'M A CRUISE ADDICT!!!

I will bring the new photos so you can see how good the shio is at the moment,
I already cruise with them last year and I can tell you is in great shape
they even had a sushi bar, small one but the have it, Carnival Destiny didn't have it so is new for me
also the food is great and the service is way better than any other cruise I have been

Just a note:

The Carnival Victory won something about their "service and clean ship" award just a few months before there is a post about it somewhere, I can tell you this
the ship the crew and the service are as they have always was "THE BEST OF THE CARNIVAL FLEET"

The theme on the Victory is "World's most famous bodies of water". You'll find names like South China Sea Club, Neptune's Way, Aegean Bar, etc.

Well guys at the moment I am at the carnival victory using my mifi modem so far I have been able to use my facetime app no problem and I have internet service no need for the carnival wifi at the moment. The ship is great wow!!! The food well...no words for it.
The conditions of the ship are most considerable in great shape and I will upload photos as soon as I can tomorrow st Thomas if I can use my modem there I will let you know but so far I have beeN able to use the video chat and is all going good for the moment Well its time to hit the food bar see you soon...
