Best Port

[Van Beach]

We are going on our second cruise the first part of December. Our stops are St. Lucia, St. Maarten and St. Kitts. The last time we cruised we did excursions everyday and literally got off the ship and back to the ship with no time to explore the ports. We want to spend more time exploring and less time excursioning.

In your opinions - which of the three stops would you say has the best shopping, bars, restaurants, etc to see while we are there?

for shopping, bars and resturants, I would say St Marteen. For things to see, St Lucia. For most historic, St Kitts (see Brimstone Hill). There is shopping in St Kitts but it is clearly set up by the cruise ships and right there where you come off the ship. St Lucia.. might be the second best choice.

I've been in St. Lucia and St. Maarten. Like Jim, I would say St. Maarten in the best of the two.
