Tim.. I have used them 3 times now, the last 2 being through the on line submission.

You are definitely being told incorrect information by the crew members. You have to submit the certificate before you cruise. And you can't apply the FCC you purchase on a cruise for THAT sailing. It has to be a future sailing. Submitted either via mail or the on line tool. There is a physical FCC number on the FCC. You need the booking number you want to apply the FCC to and the FCC # to redeem them online. I have bought them after I had booked a cruise (months after) and applied them to that booking but it was before final payment was due (which I think is critical if you want to do that) But if you have FCCs and book a cruise within the final payment date you can apply them to it as soon as you book, but you still need a booking number before you can submit them.

If you give me more information on what you are trying to do I think I can help.

Thats the first time I have heard about the friends and family certificates. That must be something new. Is there no information on them as to how to use them. That's a really good deal if you can buy FCCs and get on board credit for a friend or family member.

Sorry but I can't help with that.

You dont buy a future cruise certificate, You have to book a cruise while you are on one.. We booked while we were on the Inspiration 2 weeks ago.. It was a better deal I thought becase we were going to book one when we got back,so there was no need to buy the FCC because we got the $100.00 obc anyway. and the freinds and family $100.00 vochure was a great added bonus too! I finally got it strat with Carnival.. You have to mail these vochers in.. So if you can book while on a cruise,do it,, Just have your research down on when and how much like I did,, $349.00 for a 7 day on the Liberty on Nov 3.2012.. That price is getting rare to find...

Did you get the $100 OBC for the cruise you were on, or the one you booked?

Thanks,
Dwayne

We got the $100.00 obc for the cruise we booked for nov 2012.. We had a $100.00 obc on this cruise because we had the certificates.. It just made sense to go ahead and book our next cruise while on the ship.. I already had a time and fares in my mind picked out.. Made it real easy.. the guy I booked with was amazed I knew the prices that I knew about.. It pays to be prepared...

Yes it does! I thought that was how it worked.

You really can't go wrong with them from a Dollar perspective. I am going to get two more next month. Now granted, I only got $50 OBC for this cruise because it was a 5 day. That is still Free money to me!

I wish!

Stranger things have happened. I actually won $750 on the Holiday with my first roll of quarters. Seriously, the $50 OBC will be negated by the Gratuities immediately. That is still $50 not being charged to me though.
