Lacking "Ecstasy"

Went on the Ecstasy (10/22-10/27/11) Extremely disappointing.
We initially noticed that the elevators were slow, only to do a count. We found that 12 of the 16 elevators we counted were not operational. When we brought this to "guest services" we were advised that they were "under maintenance".The entire cruise.

On the second day (at sea) there was no A/C and the toilets did not work anywhere on the ship, the public restrooms were taped off. Again we (and multiple others) were advised maintenance was working on it. A/C started working about 8pm and the toilets about 9:30pm.

On the fourth night my shower drain started gurgling with a foul order emanating from the restroom, of course the order was not the only foul/disgusting matter that entered the room. The sewer backed up onto the bathroom floor.

While waiting in the hall, we found out that we were not the only room this occurred in that day. Apparently numerous cabins had the sewer back up into their rooms on day 2. Our neighbor made complaints to G.S. only to get the same old statement.

To make this even more disgusting the staff were only going to wipe the bathroom floor with a towel. (no chemicals or disinfectant) They were asked to give it a thorough cleaning.

We found the food to be substandard. This was not my first cruise on Carnival, but it will be the last!
