It took a while to compile all the information. I just sent in a list of 16 missing cruises for my VIFP with a total of 96 sailing days. Add that to the 16 cruises I already had credit for of 71days and I still don't have enough for their highest level. It's fun trying though. I guess that just means more cruises!
So I just checked my VIFP status. I've sailed 70 days on 10 cruises but they didn't allow VIFP for my 2004 cruise so I have only 63 points and I do not see any grandfather as platinum, I sailed last time as platinum, tells me I have 12 points to go to be platinum. This is a real bummer. I suspect I may never reach Platinum I'm so bummed. Even my 8 day up coming 11th cruise won't do it. How cheap can you be!!
you should be grandfathered in I have 60 days sailed and 14 cruise 2 of which are cnw and I was grandfathered in there is a link that shows all your cruises sailed make sure they are up to date once you are platnium they will not take it away I would call customer service they can not take it away once you recieved it you will be grandfathered!!

If you reach 10 revenue sailing cruises before December 31, 2013 you will be Grandfathered. Chartered cruises or non-revenue cruises will not be counted.
How can I check the VIFP on my husband, who doesn't have a log-in for Carnival, and for my 2 children to make sure they have the correct number of cruises/days showing? I can log in and see my own, but not theirs.
Each person who has cruised with Carnival before is supposed to have an online profile, but they will need to activate it. They can do that on this page.

Yes, even minors. Anyone who has a past guest number will have a VIFP account. You don't HAVE to use it, but if you want to check the status of your childern and check to see if their cruise history is correct you will need to create a login in for them. Its a pain but really nothing different than before. You could always have created a member account for a minor past guest and use their past guest number. This account would then have shown their past cruise history.

How would I contact them? Can I use the phone that I'd book a cruise with?
I was able to contact by Email. And I quoted the spot that John Heald had about grandfathering and they sent me a response saying that 1 cruise didn't count and I was GOLD. The Carnival web site still says I'm gold BUT when I printed my documents for the cruise Jan 27 it clearly says I'm PLATINUM and has the priority perks and all. This seems typical of Carnival, even good ideas, do not get implemented well.
I will chaulk this up to alls well that ends well.
