Carnival Valor

Hello Everyone,


I will be cruising on the Carnival Valor on 10-27-2012, and wanted to get a general idea of how the ship is.. I have been on several other carnival ships, but my first time on the valor. I also wanted to know if anyone can recommend a good hotel to stay in the day before my cruise in Miami.

We were on the Valor last year...awesome! We have stayed at the Holiday Inn...Port of Miami which is just across the street from the Bayside Marketplace....this marketplace is loads of fun...shopping....restaurants....cocktails outside at night....caribbean music...live bands etc. HOWEVER....DO NOT STAY AT THE HOLIDAY INN.....it gets dumpier by the day....people have had computers..cameras etc. stolen from their rooms when they went out....find another hotel in the area....

You will love the Valor, she's an easy ship to find your way around, great crew, great food. We sailed the Western Caribbean on her and had a ball. We stayed in Coral Gables, then took our rental car downtown the next day and Hertz took us to the port. I had heard many good comments about the Holiday Inn, sorry to hear they're getting dumpier by the day. Red Roof at the Airport might be a decent alternative, it's $25 for the cab fare.
