Taxi Ride Cost Help please
Does anyone know how much a taxi ride would cost, from FLL to MIA cruise port? It will be four of us. Also can u try and talk them down? Carnival wants 30 per person one way. Thanks for all the help.

It is $67 for a cab before the tip. They have metered rates. The problem is the cab won't hold luggage for 4 people in most cases so you'd need two taxis. No, they won't discuss the rate.

I remember on my first cruise I flew from Toronto to FLL on a charter flight. I had purchased the cruise transfers from the travel agent, so I went to their representative at the airport. There were 4 of us who showed up, so they put all 4 of us into a Lincoln Town Car Limo, and sent us to the pier. 2 of us went to the Fascination, and the other 2 went to the Imagination. The worst case scenario is that if you have to use 2 taxis, and it is more expensive than the transfers, you can purchase a ticket at the airport when you arrive, and they will bill it to your sail and sign accounts. |
Dave or PC ,
Do they not have a van or any other thing for a taxi besides cars?? 67 it would b cheaper to get it through carnival. If they don't have a van or small bus. Just wanted to beat the bus crew there. Lol. So what would be my best bet??? |
search the internet for transfers from Fll to Miami. I got us round trip for 29 pp. It was cheaper then the cruise lins and they got us there with no problem

Try SAS shuttle company. Here

Macmom do u know who u used ???
|
I think it was SAS. It was really easy for the pick up. Are you cruising and flying the same day or are you coming in early?
|
Same day. I have to work the night before couldnt get it off. We have a early flight back home so we have to be one of the first ones off.

Keep in mind that the Cruise transport fee is per person. so $30 person is $120 (each way?) Whereas Dave's rate of $67 is per taxi. If you can get a minivan taxi, you might be able to get four people plus luggage in one taxi. Also if you have to be at the airport early on the return, the taxi is the less risky option. With the cruise transport they will wait until they have a full bus before leaving for the airport. So you could rush and push to be "first off" the ship, only to be waiting for 30 other people to get their luggage and through customs and outside...
Take the taxi. |
