Just wondering if some of you who have cruised before are able to help.
I am waiting to receive our documents for our carnival splendor trip into the mexican riviera - but have had a wee look at the actual website to get some idea about excursions available at our stopovers (and the cost).
I realise that you must be able to book the trips whilst on board, but am wondering if it's cheaper to book online prior to the trip?
Or is it possible that the excursions may change (we're going in September this year).
Hi amr, you can book ahead of time if you wish or on board, but the cost will not be any less expensive by booking ahead. If the excursions were to change, they would offer you a refund or an exchange. Normally, the excursions are not changed during the course of the year. I'm not sure when their fiscal year ends, but I do believe they contract with the vendors for at least a year, if not longer. Sometimes, they will cancel an excursion for various reasons, like the vendor is not delivering the promised excursion, the excursion becomes too dangerous, etc. This does not happen often at all. I hope you enjoy the Mexican Riviera, I know you'll enjoy the ship. Please let us know when you return:) Bon Voyage!
