Question Vanishing Future Cruise Certificates
Tell me it isn't so........a number of recent cruisers have told me that they were not able to purchase Future Cruise Certificates on board during their recent Carnival Cruises. I can no longer find any reference to them on the Carnival Website. Are They really and truly gone??? They were a great incentive in the past...now..Carnival has apparently taken away another plus!!! Guess they have got to make up for the financial disaster of the Costa Concordia any way they can!!!

They ended the program in September. Certificates already purchased will of course be honored, but yes, it is gone.

Seems curious that Princess is still selling them; I just bought two in November. They are only good for two years now--but of course you get a refund if you don't use them.

Of course, they are not part of Carnival but Royal Caribbean still does this too. In fact they have put a lot of effort into getting people to either book another cruise while onboard or at least get a future certificate.

Dave, Royal Caribbean is also going to have two future cruise consultants on all ships.

Carnival Cruise Line's policies would have nothing to do with what Princess or Costa does because they aren't owned by Carnival Cruise Lines, but the Carnival Corp. and all operate separately.
