cruise insurance
 

I was wondering if anyone has ever had to file on their cruise insurance. I was reading up on what carnival offers and I was wondering if they pay as they say they do.

We had to file on Princess insurance and were very satisfied.

However, now I book the airfare and hotels myself instead of through the cruiseline, so I purchase outside travel insurance.

I'm sure someone else on the board has more detailed information for you. I just wanted to respond to let you know that Princess covered all expenses very well.

Like Nadine, I have taken to booking my own air and hotels and when I do I use Travel Guard. If it's just a cruise I stick with Princess. Never had a problem with either--but then (knock on wood) I've never had to make a claim either.

I never buy from the cruiseline. Always use insuremytrip.com.. You get more at a better price..And I trust them before I trust a cruiseline.

We use a credit card who offers insurance if you pay for the cruise with the card.
