Default notice from Carnival
I got this notice from Carnival and was wondering if anyone has ever received one before. We always board about 11 am, since we are VIP seating should not be a problem. hummmm wonder why I got this.

CARNIVAL GLORY
February 3, 2013

January 28, 2013

Hi there:

Betcha can't wait for your cruise aboard the beautiful Carnival Glory. So, we'd like to take a moment to provide you with some important information.

To ensure a smooth embarkation experience, check-in for your cruise is scheduled from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. For your comfort and convenience, and since seating is limited in the cruise terminal, we ask that you please not arrive before 1:00 PM.

We thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Most importantly, we can't wait to welcome you aboard for a fun and memorable cruise vacation.

See you soon!

Sincerely,

All I can think of is they need more time to 'turn the ship around' between the cruises for a non-specified reason. It could be as simple as a routine Coast Guard inspection or something like that.

They are hoping at least some guests heed their request.

"Betcha"? They used that word?

I cut and pasted, and the email says carnival. We have never received this before...it was just strange.

i've seen these posted on John Heald's facebook page.
The people on the Triumph got a similar email about the ship porting overnight in Progresso for repairs to the thrusters. Not for the first time either.
But at least they are communicating well in advance.

macmom.. I have gotten these also. Nobody (or at least very few) people seem to pay attention since there is still a mob scene around noon. They are just trying to level out the flow of passengers. My theory is they send this note out to probably half the passenger list hoping to push some of the arrivals to later in the embarkation day.

I tend to ignore them. Being a platinum cruiser has its advantages, one being not to have to deal with the long lines and limited seating area during peak arrival time. But you can do as you see fit.

Cool
We just got off the Liberty last week. We were a party of 11. A few received this letter and some did not. We still arrived at 11 and we were in group 9 by then. I do think that is their way of trying to get some to come later but can you imagine if they had to check in 2500 passengers between 1pm and 3pm? If there are 10 agents each agent would have to check in 250 passengers in 2 hrs. That is one passenger every 2 minutes non stop. They also say everyone should be on board by 2pm. That is a little contradictory.
