I, too, appreciate the thorough report from Jim, and I don't begrudge him having been spared the cruise that lower-deck passengers had. But I welcome also the reports and complaints from other passengers of the non-VIP variety. I don't ridicule them as cry-babies nor compare them unfavorably to people who happily endure life in third world countries. Those passengers did not sign up for a third world cruise. The came expecting something altogether different than what they got. I don't blame them for complaining.
