I am planning on cruising onboard the Carnival Legend in May. I was wondering if I should bring along my Quarters (coins) and detergent, for doing some of my own laundry? I am not sure if the Legend has a Laundry Mat room onboard?
During my last cruise, they said that there was a laundry mat onboard that ship. But I found that they closed the laundry mat and were using that room for some other purpose.
I wonder if it is a growing trend for cruiseships to do away with the self-service laundry mat rooms onboard? If so, has the Legend followed that trend, or is there still such a self-service laundry facility onboard that ship?
Sorry, Frase, I haven't sailed on the Legend. On most Princess ships they do have the self-service laundry. I know some ships had to use the room for other things. I'll bet Dwayne will know.
Look here for some more information about the prices etc.
On the Carnival Legend they are located as follows;
Riviera Deck 1 midship across from 1219
Main Deck 4 aft across from 4230
Upper Deck 5 aft across from 5270
Empress Deck 6 forward across from 6102
Verandah Deck 7 midship across from 7267
You will not need to bring your own quarters. You can easily get a roll of quarters at the
casino cage, or use the change machine they have provided for the slot machines.
A favorite hobby of mine on the last few cruises was to put $10 or $20 in the change machine,
pick through the state quarters and cash in the rest. Then a few hours later - repeat the process.
