Default Opps Carnival confuses Norfolk VA with the So Pacific !
We were all excited when Carnival announced that they would come back to Norfolk VA after they said they were pulling out for good in 2014. So they are coming back to us here in Norfolk, VA in 2015. In the news today they said that in a rush to show Carnival is coming back to the Port of Norfolk they posted photos of our Port only it was not really our Port it was photos of The Norfolk Islands East of Australia with palm tree dotted beaches and mountains in the background...opps !!! It was beautiful but not really Norfolk VA LOL

That is what happens when your advertising department is staffed with young people. They rely on Google for information. Without knowing where Norfolk really was, they probably had no issues believing that there were palm trees.....

It's also what happens when a disturbingly large number of shore staff for all cruise lines have never taken a cruise.

I remember a few stories like someone who wanted to fly to London England, wound up in London Ontario Canada, and instead of Sydney Australia, they wound up in Sydney Nova Scotia Canada.
