Hey Mobile,
Enjoy the Elation. We've had the pleasure of home-porting her for the last 2-plus years here in San Diego and we were able to sail her to Cabo, Mexico in October 2008. She's a good ship.

I have to say that I truly enjoyed my cruise on the Elation. They brought her over to the east coast for a few runs before drydock a few years ago. It had one of the best crews I've ever sailed with. The Captain was a bit off as he kept changing the ship's time to port time, which they don't normally do on the east coast cruises. Then we had a time change back to EST. The crew didn't even know what time it was. It was one time in the casino and another in the disco. It was hilarious.
Digitalrick, you will have to use the BB code option for your ticker to work.
I'm looking forward to my cruise on Elation. This will be my first time on a Fantasy class ship, believe it or not.
Glad to hear so many nice things about her. I actually enjoy ships of this era. And, having been on Carnival Victory and Carnival Destiny, it will be fun to kind of see ship evolution in reverse. I'll be the one taking photos of every nook and cranny.
Another confession - it will be my first time on a Fantasy class ship too. So here we are, the administrators of this wonderful cruise forum exposed for our lack of experience with a class of ships which has probably provided a first cruise to more people than any others.
Being a great Administrator of a cruise forum has nothing to do with experiences on certain classes of ships. It has more to do with dedication and keeping it well oiled and running smoothly. I have to say you do that exceptionally well.
Of course, the flip side of the coin is the Carnival Elation cruise of July 10 will have not one, but two cruise reviewers of renown aboard! They better have the "A" team working or Lisa and I will savage them in our reviews!
I think the crew makes the ship such a wonderful cruise. Granted she is of another era and doesn't have all the "Evolutions of Fun" bells and whistles yet. She still packs the Fun though.
