Your soda drink car can be used anywhere on the ship. Bar waiters walk around tables in the dining room to get your beverages and just show them your card.
An excerpt from the Carnival unlimited soft drink info:
"In all locations where bar beverage service is offered, guests will be served a glass of the soft drink or juice of their choice - one 16 ounce glass will be served at a time and only to the guest whose name appears on the Sail & Sign card. The program cannot be used through room service. Note: The Unlimited Soda Program can be used during the port stop in Half Moon Cay."
Apparently they don't call it the Fountain Fun Card anymore, and put a sticker on the Sail&Sign card instead.
Hi DougNC, welcome to Cruise-Chat! Congratulations on your up-coming cruise! Cassandra M., answered your question, but I did want to welcome you aboard. Also, you need to try the chocolate melting cake, at least once on your cruise. It's my favorite dessert. Of course, you can order as many desserts as you would like, but do try the chocolate melting cake.

Opps! I forgot to report about that. They were doing the change over on my last cruise. See my memory isn't all that good and I didn't have any post-its on me.
In the Main Dining Room at night, if you know you are going to want a soda every night....go ahead and ask your bar waiter to please have one waiting for you every night.
