I have some precious items (jimmy buffet concert tickets) that I need to keep safe during my upcoming cruise on Carnival. There are in room safes on the ship. Can anyone share their experiences using these safes? Are there ship's safes or deposit boxes at the pursers, etc that passengers can use? Again, anyone have experience doing that? Thanks
The cabin safe is perfectly fine. You could actually leave the tickets sitting on a table in your cabin and they'd be safe. The cabin attendants are very trustworthy and they also are very careful about ensuring people don't enter cabins that aren't theirs.
Hi ref93, welcome to Cruise-Chat. All the ships we've sailed on have had safes. There is no fee to use them. What ship will you be on? Best wishes and once again, welcome aboard!
Yes, all Carnival cabins have safes, and there is no charge to use them.
Congrats, on booking the Carnival Dream. We have a "Anyone booking the Dream" topic thread going. Please feel free to jump in there. It is located here.
Yep... even the Holiday has room safes. They are super easy to use (instructions provided clearly on every safe). We have kept mucho currency and valuables in the safes with a zero percent loss. Cabin stewards are very proud of their jobs and they take their task seriously. You could stack money, jewelry, and Buffett tickets on your nightstand and the only thing that might happen is the steward may have wiped the dust from the items.
