Here is the deal I am making a booking on carnival victory for the next year and my wife ask me to book a cabin that looks to the islands when we are docked.
I have look for a few pics on the net but really don't know which side the carnival victory is when is docked
I am planning to get an odd cabin, but in the diagram its says that the even numbers are the one in the portside
can someone that have been on this cruise tell me which one is better if we like to be in the part looking to the island and not the see ??

when we book our cruise we have always booked one that faces port side. when you have a bslcony we get the opposite so we can sit out there while we are in port because it is has less noise. but like i said if i am getting a window we get a port side so i can see whats going on

We really enjoy arriving to the island during the mornings and record it for our cruise video, that's why we usually book the portside balcony cabin and in my other cruises it was the odd number cabin, but since they have been changing the docking side, or at least that was the case on carnival destiny, we don't know which one is it we were trying to book it last night

but this question stop us for doing it...

we just got off the Victory and had Deck 10 Port side. It was fantastic. However, I wish I had been on the other side to be honest due to the views. But be careful, deck 10 can be under Camp Carnival. We were under the spa. It was a fantastic trip though.

When we were on the Victory (May 10-17, 09) we were on the starboard (odd number cabin) side and most of the time we docked facing the island all except for Dominica and Antigua. We had a aft wrap...so we could see alot more than if we would've had a side balcony.

This is a very tiring cruise...but great nonetheless.
