The Carnival Elation is heading to Mobile her new home port. The Carnival Fantasy will be moving to Charleston. Here is a link.

Hopefully Elation and Fantasy will be able to sail around the oil... If they don't fix the problem soon, it may mess up both Mobile and N.O.!

Our Fantasy cruise May 8th will be in Grand Cayman with them....I am hoping to meet up with some friends who are currently working on the Elation.

I have to say that the Elation has the best crew of any of the Carnival ships I have sailed on. I hope both ships get to their new home ports without having to go through the oil. I sure don't want the Fantasy arriving here with oil smudge on her.

Nice to know. Two months and counting...

Just my opinion from my cruise on her. Of course the crews are always amazing. They were in exceptional good spirits because they had brought the ship to Port Canaveral to do a few runs before going into drydock at Freeport. The ship was home ported on the west coast, so most of them had never been to the east coast ports. Plus it was a Halloween cruise. Some of the bar and casino staff asked me to meet them for the Conch Train tour on Key West so I could show them where certain stores were located. They had a blast shopping and exploring a new port.

Two months can come fast sometimes. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif

Thanks, I hope so. They need to do a better job of keeping the funnels bright and shiny between drydocks. The Fascination's before it's drydock was pink, faded blue, and white.

Hey Mobile,
Take care of our girl. We home-ported the Elation for 3 years here in San Diego, CA.
