We're going to Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel! We're very excited. Anyone have any good info on the Liberty?

We were on Liberty last Nov., but didn't go to any of your ports. We didn't have any problem with the ship, other than it was a little bit confusing to navigate. The casino deck is the one you need to go from the front of the ship to the back. I finally started looking out the window when we got off the elevator, to see which way the ship was moving, so I'd know the front from the back! Food was pretty good overall, but we checked the lunch menu in the dining room several times and never saw anything we really liked. If you're going to eat in the supper club, make sure you check to see when the formal nights are in the dining room. We made the mistake of booking it on the same night and missed out on one of the best meals they had and my favorite, strawberry bisque! One thing on the slide: the caper said it was only open when in port. On the last day at sea, we asked to open it and they did. Don't know if that is normal or if there just wasn't anyone available to keep it open all the time. We had two rough days at sea in the beginning, went through a storm I think. Maybe that won't be a problem in May. Have fun!

We did this trip in December and the ship itself is fantastic. Cozumel is probably the only spot in Mexico with a low crime rate. For shopping go to the mall shops and have the taxi driver drop you off at the far end so you can work yourself back. The taxi ride is about $10 each way. Personally I would not travel alone. Go with a group or at least with another couple. Paradise beach is about 1o minutes away at about a $15 taxi ride each way. You can rent everything at the beach. Grand Caymans was great. Very american. YOu can taxi or take a bus for about $10 to the beach. The sand is like powder and the water is warm and blue. The market is right outside the terminal across the street. You could find some good deals there. Ocho Rios Jamaica was an experience I would rather not do again. The place is gorgeous but the people are horrible. Dunn's river falls was fun to climb but everything you did cost you money. You have to tip everyone you talked to and when you're leaving try to go the same way you entered. Don't go through the merchants way unless you want to buy souveniers at ridiculous prices and be hassled the entire way. Overall you will have fun but just take precautions in Jamaica. On the ship partake in the shows especially the nasty show(s). If you're bringing kids let them go and enjoy themselves. Our teenager had the time of his life in the O2 CLUB. TRY THE WARM CHOCOLATE MELTING CAKE. You die for it! Have fun and let me know how your trip went.
