Carnival will be expanding into Bermuda for in 2011. Read here

Awesome. I just might book the Bermuda out of Charleston. Dwayne, when can you go? http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...on_biggrin.gif

The Charleston sailings are indeed exciting news.

Well, keep me posted. I'm really serious about booking it. There's one in October, the 6th I think. I could do that for Ron's birthday.
I need to get back on Princess or Costa. I really, really, really miss Princess. It's been over a year. |
October 6th would most likely be the most doable for me. I've never been to Bermuda. I've been thinking of a Princess cruise too. It's like pulling teeth to get the available cruises that have past guest rates they honor for Carnival guests. At least it was the last time I tried. Not to get off topic, but they should make it easier for the perks to be used between the Carnival brands.

No kidding. I'd be Elite on Princess. I have 9 Princess, 6 Carnival, 4 Costa, 1 HAL. You only need 16 for Elite or 150 days. I'll probably reach it by days before number of cruises.
I added the October 6th cruise to my saved cruises. An inside is $409/pp. Maybe I could swing a 7 day on Princess and this one. Or Costa. I want to do the Panama Canal, but that's $4K. If I could find a part-time job, it would be a lot easier than trying to squeeze blood from a turnip http://bestsmileys.com/lol/21.gif |
I'll add it to my saved cruises as well. I sorta wish it was the Pride instead of the Fantasy because I'm going on it this October and will be the 3rd time on that ship. Of course it has been different each time, they were re-doing the Promenade the last time I was on her back in '02. Now they have all the Evolutions of Fun completed, and another dry dock scheduled before then. Is it a bumpy ride to Bermuda?

You'll have to save a bit more. The taxes on that cruise are higher than normal. You need to add $96.37 in taxes. Also did you know you can get a port hole cabin for that same price? It would be in the front of the ship, but at least you would have some light in the cabin. Let's cross the fingers on the fuel supplements. |
Yep, the daily average for Gov. taxes, Fees and misc. is a bit higher than normal. Not sure I'd recommend a port hole cabin going to Bermuda though as they can tend to get a bit bouncy in the open Atlantic on the Fantasy class ships.
