GOOD MORNING FELLOW CRUISERS.............
WONDERING IF THERE ARE ANY FELLOW CRUISERS THAT WILL BE ON THE BEAUTIFUL VALOR ON EITHER OF THE ABOVE CRUISES? THIS WILL BE OUR FIRST BACK TO BACK. ANY TIPS ON BACK TO BACK CRUISES, ON ARRIVING THE DAY BEFORE AND STAYING IN A HOTEL IN THE AREA OF MIAMI PORT? LOOKING FOR ANY ADVICE ON THAT AND BOARDING THE SHIP BEFORE THE MASSES OF PEOPLE ARRIVE.
Sandy, two of my tablemates on a past cruise were doing back-to-backs on the same ship, and they mentioned that they had been told they might be required to pack up, leave the ship during disembarkation and then reboard. It turned out they did not have to do that, but you should ask your TA and/or the cruise line what their policy is. And it won't hurt to recheck with the purser's office once you board, either. But be prepared that you may need to go through that.
I have been on a back to back a few years ago and had to change cabin's for some reason. The other couple requested the cabin we were in when they booked and I geuss the cruise line didn't catch it till the second sailing. We did not have to disembark, but this was prior to 9/11. The cruise line is now out of business anyway.
