Thanks Billy for all this information. I'm sure you'd need several more days to have a chance to try everything. Did they make Sam's non-smoking? I heard they were going to since they did on the Splendor.

I'm with you Dwayne...the Piano Bar and smoking go hand & hand. It won't be the same but it will still be a great place to sing along with new found friends.

I was booked on the Dream for March 12th but recently changed my sailing to the Miracle on March 11th to take advantage of the 8 day itinerary...any idea if the Piano Bar on the Miracle is non-smoking? When I was on it last year, you could smoke.

I agree, it's still "all good" as they say.

As far as I know only the Piano Bars on the Splendor and the Dream are non-smoking at this time. I hope they leave it at that..at least until I quit.

The Miracle's Lido Bars should also allow smoking on the Starboard side of the bar. The other Spirit class ships used to.

Just a proactive note before we drift into a smoking debate..we are just mentioning ship smoking policies and not debating them. This topic is about the new Carnival Dream.

We leave Thursday for a week of "pre-cruise" activities BEFORE we get on the Dream.

We are going to visit our oldest son and take DJ (our youngest) to see the Bristol Christmas lights. Our oldest is going a one year internship at Eastman Chemical in Kingsport ... so the timing is perfect!!!

Then we are spending a day in Gatlinburg before driving down to Florida. We are going to take DJ to the Daytona Experience one day and Sea World the next.

Then head to the Radisson on Wednesday...before sailing on Thursday!!!

whew.... lots going on...but I am all packed.

Now if I would just find a bank to rob so that I can pay the $400 kennel fee for the dog when I get back!!!

Linda, My very best wishes for safe travels and a wonderful Thanksgiving! I haven't seen the Bristol Christmas lights for several years, I don't get up there much since my grandmother passed away.

And of course a big ... Bon Voyage!

Say hi to the gang I was supposed to be sailing with at the Radisson, I'll be thinking of you all. Hopefully we'll get to sail together one day. Again, have a wonderful special 9 day cruise on our Dream.
