Fantasy? good or bad?

Im looking for reviews for fantasy. I honestly was ready to reserve on sos but there have been some recent negatives posted on other sites and this one. My worry on the fantasy was the cdc's last report and grade of 83. I dont know when the next inspection is but will keep looking for it. All comments and advice welcome.

Inspections are somewhat random, and it may be quite some months before the next one, though if they got a failing grade (which 83 is) there may be a new one before too long. I doubt they will remain that low; Carnival, like most of the major cruise lines, tends to have a pretty good record in the health inspection dept.

We were on the Fantasy on October 31, 2004. She was refurbished in December of 2003 and I can tell you there was a big difference as we also were on her in May of 2003. She is a beautiful ship, I felt like we were on a completly different ship from the first time. The food is outstanding, the beds have the down duvals on them and service was great. I would highly recommend her for a short cruise.

That's good to know, Carol. I too have heard mixed reviews of Fantasy over the last several years.

I have just booked our 4th cruise on the Fantasy (5th cruise overall). I have never had a bad experience with Carnival on the Fantasy or the Fascination (which we have been on once). If you look hard enough you can find things to complain about on any cruise ship. The Fantasy, for the money, is an excellent deal. The cabins, from what I understand, are about 1 & 1/2 times bigger than other cruise lines. The port personnel are very attentive and things go very smoothly. I have never had a bad experience with any onboard personnel either. Our cabin steward/stewardess has always given their all to make us happy. I am looking forward to seeing the renovations they did on the Fantasy.
