Carnival Sensation

Hi everyone.

So now I'm thinking to save money, I may go with a Bahamas cruise on Carnival (as opposed to a Western Caribbean cruise on RCI), and am thinking about the Sensation out of Port Canaveral. Has anyone been on this ship? If so, what are your impressions? I know Carnival is known for their water park type area in the back of the ship on the open deck, as well as their smokestack.

Also, I see on Carnival's website that I can book a transfer to and from the port, but nowhere does it ask for flight information / arrival time. If I book a transfer, how do I go about meeting the Carnival rep once I land?

I haven't been on the Carnival Sensation for nearly 14 years, so I can't give a recent opinion. I like the Fantasy class ships because they are so easy to find everything.

When you fill out your FunPass it will ask for your flight information.

The Sensation has gone through the Evolutions of Fun and has the Waterworks and Serenity Adults area.

Just wanted to add that we sailed on the Sensation in Sept.08 for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and loved the ship! Never experienced any long waits for anything that we did. Great service, plenty of smiles and service from the sewards! We felt like royalty!

Hi there!

We sailed the Carnival Sensation about a month ago and had a great cruise. Very crowded but never a problem. We stayed in one of the Grand Suites and found the cabin very spacious and plenty of room for 4 of us.

The casino was lots of fun, weather wasn't very cooperative so not much pool time, however, plenty of the usual activities to keep us satisfied.

I love sailing the older ships, they just seem so much easier to navigate and they have upgraded it to include all the fun zones!
