The latest is they will have a web site going online tomorrow morning (Tuesday) about the ship. It will have a walk through, pictures, etc. of the ship. The address is http://www.carnivalmagic.com

Other news is the ship will be the first to feature a Pub. The name is RedFrog Pub. It will also feature their signature ThirstyFrog Red beer.

They are still keeping other ship features closely guarded. One will have something to do with water.

And the Magical news continues tonight. An Italian restaurant called "Cucina del Capitano" with an a la carte menu at night.

I hope this news is close to accurate as I have derived it from watching them build and update the Carnival Magic's new site tonight.

I hope to see a bottle of red and a bottle of white in my future. Along with a plane ticket to Galveston!

The new innovations are really exciting. I love the Pub concept and the use of the deck space for outdoor seating. I also love the Italian restaurant. I don't mind the "nominal" for something special. I will say I don't want them to get carried away with this type of thing like some other lines have though. A basket of conch fritters and a pint on the ship with a view of the ocean...priceless to me.

A tidbit of Magic news I heard today. The cabins have two 110 outlets.

The menu for the Italian restaurant Cucina del Capitano has also been released.

I understand they have some way of setting the lights to automatically
come on when you put your door "key" in the door, so you never enter
a dark room.

I love that because I always seem to be fumbling for a light switch.

Now, will the figure out to put the light switch for the bathroom INSIDE
so I do not have to turn the light on, and bathe the whole cabin when
I need to visit at 2am....

I guess the same engineers who don't want passengers walking into a dark cabin also don't want them walking into a dark bathroom. Although that's the way it has been forever.

Wish I could book today too. I've been checking dates. The air fare is the killer so far, unless I drive to Hotlanta.

JaBee, I agree about the bathroom light. It drives me nuts. I try to leave the light on and the door cracked for a night light. It just doesn't work on a moving ship. The door either opens or closes all the way.
