BTW I also golf in knickers. I was invited to a private club last weekend and the dress code did not list knickers, (a traditional golf outfit), as acceptable. I wanted to challege the rule but my friend asked if I would just play golf and not rock the boat. So I played in slacks. It just didn't feel right.

To my thinking, knickers are more formal than slacks. Payne Stewart was the classiest looking guy on the course.

I agree, Dave. CruiseDad, what would they have done had your worn your knickers? Not let you on the course?

I don't believe CruiseDad would have been excluded from the course for wearing knickers. I have seen people have to change when wearing other articles of clothing (jeans).

On one of our cruise we saw a Japanese Couple in their dress Kimono's. I thought that was awesome, they both looked fantastic !!

Yes indeed. It is important to not judge people on their wardrobe using your own culture's standards, or those of your region or country.
