The "must be on the same Sail and Sign account" is ONLY when you are talking about separate cabins.....

I am a little confused. I was just told when I booked my tenth cruise a few months ago with carnival, that "VIP" does not occur until AFTER your tenth sailing. So, which is it???

The VIP treatment starts on your tenth cruise. If you haven't done so, complete your on-line check in now and you should see "VIP" on your boarding pass.
