worried about oil spill

Hi I'm leaving out of the port of New Orleans Sat. the 15th. of May and I was wondering if were going to the Keys are going in another direction.The spill is getting very close to the shore please help. Thank you.Were going on the Triumph which is surpose to go down the Miss. River then to the Keys then from the Keys to Bahamas.

Checking Carnival's website or calling Carnival direct will be your best source for any itinerary changes. I don't see anything on Carnival's website right now. The Port of New Orleans website also has updates on the oil spill. Here

We just came across the lower gulf Sunday from Playa Del Carmen to Miami and did not see any trace of oil. The water was as beautiful as ever. I think once you get south of New Orleans a couple hundred miles it wii be o.k. I would not worry about it.
