Hello all!
I'm trying to choose between a 9 day out of San Diego on Spirit or a 7 day out of LA on Splendor. Debating over 2 extra days vs newer, bigger ship. Plan on getting a balcony either way but on Splendor could try out one of those spa balconies I've been drooling over...not to mention the adults only serenity area which is very appealing...still 2 extra days on Spirit very appealing too...DH doesn't have a preference--he likes to keep me happy so it's up to me....of course I suppose taking both cruises would solve the whole problem....hmmmmm...
Any deep thoughts?
Kelly

Sounds like you've sold yourself on the Splendor already. If time and budget isn't an issue, and if there isn't a big difference in the itinerary and time in port; then why not go with the Splendor. Many people like the Spirit class ships for it's size and layout. But it sounds like you are anxious to try out the new ship and it's Spa balconies. So do it.

Spirit class was my favorite .... until we cruised on the Splendor.

It became my favorite ship because of the Cloud 9 Spa. We had a Spa Balcony and LOVED IT.

I also liked the fact that (due to the retractable roof) there is no smoking allowed anywhere on Lido (not even around the pool...since it is considered an indoor area)...

We're booked on the Spirit next March, and I'm SOOO excited! To me, a 9-day cruise beats a 7-day cruise even on a bigger & newer ship, but that's just my opinion. But you're right, Kelly, why not take both! http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif

Thanks all! I do wish they had a 9 day on the Splendor, that would be a no brainer for sure! Is the retractable dome on Splendor sort of like the ones on RCI? I love, love the pools that are under those RCI domes...I'm thinking 2 cruises is really the only solution http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo.../icon_wink.gif
