Valor cruise!

We just returned from the Nov. 1st. sailing on the Valor. It was a good cruise but not a great one. The ship is spotless. The food quality was very good. The entertaiment director Tex was great, one of the best we ever had. The entertaninment was very good.The weather was lousy from Thursday through Sunday ,but we made the best of it.The service was very good except our assistant waiter was wortless. If you wanted more bread or a second cup of coffee forget it. He told us that he had been with Carnival for eight years. He is still an assistant. I geuss that says it all.Our waiter Z was very good but he became ill the second day out. When he was on he was on.But it was a very good cruise overall.I still prefer the Spirit class ships though.

Welcome back, vietvet. Sorry the weather didn't cooperate, must have been Ida? Sorry your waiter became ill, too. Did you speak to the head waiter about your assistant? I'm glad to hear the entertainment was good. I've booked the Valor for next May. My friend who has never cruised before is going. I'm hoping it will be great and that she'll become addicted. Since my hubby will only go on one cruise a year, I need a cruising partner, so.....I hope she'll love the Valor. I hope we don't get your assistant waiter

What was your favorite port? Did you do any snorkeling? Where did y'all go in Cozumel? Is the Valor hard to navigate? She's an impressive size ship and looks like a lot of fun.

Penny the Valor is laid out just about like the smaller ships such as the Imagination. Dinning rooms and kitchen mid ship on decks 3&4.That makes it a little tough to get around, but you get familiar with it soon. We did not do any snorkeling, my wife does not swim. We hit all the shops in Cozumel and called it a day. It had been awhile since we were in Costa Maya and it seemed larger a little more to do, a huge pool area with several bars.

Bon Voyage Hope you have a much better cruise than vietvet. I've booked the Valor for next May. A friend of mine from Arizona and I are going. It will be her first cruise, and I want her to have a fantastic experience. Can't wait to hear your review when you return!

May is near perfect sailing weather in the Carribean. I like March,April amd May about the best!
