I am blogging my cruise for sister website CruiseMates. You can follow along Here and post comments in this thread. I don't want to waste Internet time double posting updates in both forums but will reply to comments both here and on CruiseMates.

Really enjoying your blog. I totally agree about eating in the dining room for breakfast and lunch. You pay them to wait on you...so why not?? Sounds like a delightful ship, and we can't wait to board in 1 month. I'm going to do the suit thing for formal night as well. I have always loved Mobile's port for ease of boarding. By the way, how did you get into the VIP area for boarding? Is that an agent thing or a past guest thing...just curious. Have a great cruise.

VIP boarding is for suite holders and past guests that have more than 10 cruises.

Here are three photos I just uploaded.

Here I am dressed for dinner on a "cruise casual" night.

Here is a bowl of shrimp, vegetables and noodles I selected, and blazing hot Szechuan sauce, which was cooked while I waited.

And here is an example of the infamous Carnival misspellings.

I followed along too and looked forward to the next update. Dave made me hungry all week reading about all the wonderful food. Even the day he was going to have the Carnival Cheeseburger I could imagine being on the Lido deck having one. It made for a fun week and a little escape from the real world. Thanks Dave.

Yes, thank you from us too. We will be sailing on Elation Oct. 30th. Can't wait. We were on Fantasy Halloween of 2008 and had a great time!

We went to Cabo last summer on the Elation and loved it. The Elation is a really nice ship and would sail on it again.
