I know! I can be in Charleston in about an hour and 15 minutes leaving from the parent's lake house near Summerton. They can't give me any excuses now for not going.

It just occurred to me that my cruise next July will be now be on the Elation. I assume Carnival is swapping all the bookings over.

Obviously the market in southern California wasn't meeting Carnival's expectations. Look at the recently announced "cougar" cruise they are chartering on the Elation for example.

I'm going to check out the pricing right now! Sure beats having to drive all the way to Ft. Lauderdale. Of course, Mobile and New Orleans are closer, but I haven't been in Charleston in eons.
