Evidently the West coast wasn't supporting the San Diego sailings enough. It's a shame, San Diego is a wonderful city.

I forgot about the Elation not having all the upgrades, but it does have the Serenity area and it is all I'd really use anyway.

Boy, I am with Dave on not having to fly. I have stopped that for a while. I am leaving out of Charleston and I love it, about 5 1/2 hours I guess. My question is we are going down the day before and wonder if anyone can suggest a nice hotel near the Pier? We are going to check out Charleston for a while the day before we leave. We should have plenty of time to check out the sites. I always want to get on board as soon as we are allowed

We'd still have to fly, yet I am always thrilled when we have more home ports being utilized.

Thanks for the reminder, Dwayne, about Elation not being "evolutionized." It doesn't matter to me, either. This will be my first time on a Fantasy-class ship, so it will all be new to me.

I love the Fantasy and Spirit class ships. They are so easy to find your way around on. I forgot you will be on the Elation now.

According to Mapquest, it's about a 5 hour drive, at 321 miles between the two cities.

I wish our Guv would allow Savannah to be a cruise port. Savannah is only 4 hours away from Atlanta but I'm not complaining about Charleston. :-)
