I have friends that live in Roswell that drive over to Charleston sometimes. They say it averages around 5 hours as well. I don't know what route they take. This is great news for everyone that drives from the near by states.
More Charleston news..Plans are being laid to build a new terminal. Read about it here.
* Note they got some of the Carnival info wrong in the article though. Carnival has been operating 2 cruises annually from Charleston, one in the spring and one in the fall..Not a "handful in the winter".
I hope you'll go to some of the public meetings, Dwayne. You can tell them from experience what they need to do, like parking, passenger waiting area that is covered, restrooms, etc. The sad thing in the article was no budget, no time frame.
I'm going to try to attend some of the meetings. Not sure they'll let me yet not being a resident of the city. I had planned on being there Nov 2nd to tour the Triumph. Then I had to change my cruise and it is during that time now. I'm going to go down after my cruise and view the proposed site.
