How will I be able to be seated with the people that we will be traveling with? We booked separately via Yahoo! and are not sure what we need to do to get switched to the same table. Do we simply see someone on the first day?

I recommend you take care of this before you go, and it's quite simple. You each give your TAs the others' confirmation number, and ask for them to be cross-referenced for dining. We've done this a number of times, including on Carnival.

It is possible to switch tables on the first day of the cruise if there is room at that table. We were 2 days late getting on the ship because of a snow storm and had become friends with the other 12 people who were making the same trip (and were also delayed). We talked to the some one in the dining room a few hours before dinner and he had us changed to one of their tables. It was great because there were 2 extra places at that table. We were lucky, if you can get it arranged before you go, it would be better.

I would try to get the bookings cross referenced beforehand as Lisa noted. I've never used Yahoo to book a cruise before though, and don't know how it works with them. If it was a TA, they would enter the information immediately upon request. If that doesn't work, see the Maitre'd/Head Waiter ASAP as Bub noted. They have a computer seating system in the dining room that can work miracles sometimes. Good Luck!
