dave does carnival make an effort to return found stuff left behind or do they just collect it and wait for the person that lost it contact them.
the reason i asked is a few yrs ago I found 3 ladies diamond rings left in our safe. I immediately turned them in to the purser. I have often wondered if the rings found their owner.
My understanding is they really do try to get the stuff back to the owners if they know something belongs to passenger X. Obviously this is not the case for many things, and they'll have to wait until someone contacts them.
Lyn, I was going to suggest that too when I started reading the thread.
Also, great advice about the address labels. I lost my camera in a taxi on Cozumel last year. Luckily the dispatcher, along the great staff at Paradise Beach located it.
Here is another one, though a little more complicated as they want you to send 4 pictures in. It does link up with Facebook though.

Dwayne
Cameras are so small now I am paranoid about losing mine
I have lots of address labels from places that send you stuff so I thought "what the heck" maybe if I lose it i will get lucky and S.K.S will return it.
Dave
I hope you find the owner
You might also want to post on the other cruise board

It's been almost a year since the memory card was found--I rather doubt that the owner is still looking for it. Some memory cards seem too small to put an address on them...a phone number should work. I have a new camera that's small enough to put in my pocket. I hang on to it as if it were my wallet; not many people would try to return a $400 camera if they found one.

Sonny, That's true. Fortunately, I have been blessed to have kind and honest souls return things or turn them in. I even lost my mini wallet in the casino last year and it was turned in with my daily allotment of gambling money intact. I am the kind to return things or turn them in, and hope the karma comes back to me when I need it.
