I had 2 $5 credits on my folio statement on day 1 of my last cruise on Triumph. I never found out why, was afraid to ask, they could take it off. It was after all $10. I heard rumor it was a casino credit so you could bet $5 on them. But no mention of it anywhere. My sister also got a $5 credit.
Any body know what it was?
I'm not sure, but I think it has something to do with the canceled fuel charge adjustments. I had a mysterious $5 credit last November and that is what they told me. Or, it could be a port tax adjustment. Whatever it was, mine went to the casino.

The fuel charge is probable, or perhaps an adjustment for a port fee change.
I managed to lose $10 on roulette anyway. And I bought a Carnival Special Drink in the piano bar and the reciept was good for a $5 bet in the casino. Take the receipt to the cashier was the deal. I didn't do it as I just never got around to it in time. So much other fun stuff to do.
CruiseDad, Next time register at OceanPlayersClub.com and they will leave a letter for a free drink in the casino.
I looked at my statement, it was a $5 refundable credit. Where my price adjustment credits were non-refundable. You probably had 2 people on your account is why you got 2. I'll take all the credits I can get.
In recent cruises, I had the same $5 credit per person. It was explained to me by the Platinum desk that it was a refund for fuel surcharge overpayment.
Thanks Doc, That's what they told me too. Not that I was complaining, I was just curious, because I sorta do the same thing with my extra job. I read my statement very carefully. I've caught mistakes in the past that were not in my favor. I try to get them fixed on board before they send the balance in to the credit card company.
