your in-laws cannot board with you enless they are VIP..I checked that out a long time ago. Only VIP can board like this..

people in the same cabin can board v i p even if only one is VIP.

The rule is if you are in the same cabin or if your onboard account is being covered by the credit card of someone with VIP status, you all go to the VIP line. That's because all of those cruise cards will be together and in the possession of the VIP check-in staff.
