Ok . . . I guess I'll have to firstly admit . . . this is my first cruise!! I'm getting ready to complete my master's degree and am planning a cruise for myself, husband and 13 year old daughter (14 i May).

My grandmother lives in Jacksonville so have located a cruise out of there (incorporating a long overdue visit with her too). It's on the Celebration in June.

I've not seen too much information on this (though I've looked) and am really concerned about the activities for my daughter.

If anyone has any advise/info PLEASE HELP!!

Thanks,
Kim

Welcome to Cruise Chat and congratulations on deciding to take your first cruise. The Celebration is one of Carnivals older ships and although Carnival offers a youth program, the facilities for teens is somewhat limited. We have posted a number of reviews of this ship and I know some of them describe experiences with teens in tow. Here is the link:

Nancy,

I've read most of those reviews (and printed them to for reference) but I didn't know if things have changed since it moved to FL this spring.

If I remember correctly . . . one person indicated that evening activities for her age group ended at 10pm . . . is this still the case??

I would think that a cruise in June would take into consideration the school age children and extend/expand the activities.

Kim
