Traveling to Eastern Caribbean and I'm a first timer traveling by ship! I'm so excited I cannot wait. I just found out two weeks ago that my boyfriend is taking me :-)

I'm carefully trying to plan our trip to make sure we have things to do daily. I have researched the excursions available and realize that I may have to book early or they can sell out. Can anyone share with me must do excursions for Atlantis (Dolphin / Aqua park), Half Moon Cay or Grand Turk? Thank you in advance!

Hi Deborah803, welcome to Cruise-Chat. Congratulations on your up-coming cruise! What a great boyfriend! The Atlantis is a destination in itself, there is a free beach (Cabbage Beach) that is adjacent to the property. If you'd like to do the royal swim (with the dolphins), you will have an excursion of a lifetime. It is an awesome experience, but be sure to do the swim and not the encounter. Half Moon Cay is their private island, it's a great beach day. Half Moon Cay is one of my favorite private islands, beautiful beach, snorkeling isn't too bad either. We've only been to Grand Turk once. We did a snorkel trip through the ship that took us to two stops. One was for the coral, and one was for the fish. The water was crystal clear and the snorkeling was fantastic. There's a nice beach right where you dock, and a shopping area too. We didn't explore the island but they do have excursions for that as well. There's one for ATVs that someone took and said it was a blast. Take a look in our Caribbean Port Chat section, there may be excursions listed that might interest you. If you'll use your "find" feature in the upper left hand corner, and type in your ports, it will pull up all the posts made and that might help, too. Best wishes for a fantastic cruise, and once again, welcome aboard!

Thanks Penny! I deeply appreciate your feed back. I will look into the ATV excursion and definetly closely pay attention to the dolphin encounter and book the deep sea swim.. woot! I love dolphins. Did a similar experience in Mayan Riveria / Playa Del Carmen 2 years ago at Xcaret and it was a lifetime experience. Loved it! Always traveled by ground not sea and I'm very anxious to climb aboard the Destiny!

Thanks again, you were very helpful.
