trip insurance and the flu

ok i hope i dont get in trouble here,i am just trying to help everyone. yesterday i did alot of research and came up with only 1 insurance co that will pay a claim if god forbid you get the flu before or during your cruise. that is the international medical group.the policy name is patriot T.R.I.P. you never know with the swine flu outbreak what could happen.i got mine at insuremytrip.com. just wanted everyone to know

all the policies will pay during the cruise.but not all before the cruise. i called insuremytrip yesterday and we decussed the subject for about 10 min and this was the onlyone with that specific illness.

Are you referring to insurance purchased now, as opposed to months ago (before the swine flu became a "known event?")

AccessAmerica, for instance, announced a few days ago that policies purchased after April 23 (or was it 24) would not include coverage for swine flu-related instances. My insurance, purchased when I made my initial cruise deposit about 10 months ago, will provide coverage if I have to cancel my cruise due to illness...no exclusions at that time.

This is another reason to check policies carefully at time of purchase.
