My husband and I are taking a cruise in October to the Western Carribean for 7 days. This is our first cruise. Any important things to know? Also, we are interested in scuba diving whenever we can. Should we book offshore excursions through the boat or wait and do it on our own when we get on shore? Thank you for all help!!!
The title hints that you folks are new SCUBA divers? If so, I would strongly suggest taking one of the ship's dive excursions. If you haven't done much diving in tropical conditions, you are much better off having the ship's divemasters with you.
As a veteran diver, I would recommend using the ship's excursions. You don't have enough experience or information to make decisions on who to go with. The ship excursions tend to be aimed more at the novice divers and less agressive.
