I have cruised many times on Carnival and Royal Caribbean. Just arrived from a 7 day cruise on the Liberty and loved it. Also have cruised recently on the Destiny (twice) and the Valor from Carnival. I have never been on the Imagination, but decided to join a group of friends and family in three weeks for a four night cruise. This is a small ship compared to the others I have been on and wondered if it also offers pizza, ice cream and soda card purchase. I have to admit I love the bigger ships and their big screen on deck and all they offer!!! Thanks for any input from anyone who has sailed on this ship recently.

Welcome to Cruise Chat. Yes, the Imagination has pizza 24 hours, ice cream, and soda card. The Imagination is a smaller ship then the others you mentioned. Put things into perspective and don't try to compare it to the much larger ships. You should still have a good time. The Imagination was one of the first of eight Carnival ships to go through the Evolutions of Fun upgrades. New features added were a resort style pool, Serenity Adults area, and the Aqua Water park.

Welcome to Cruise-Chat!

Yes the Carnival Imagination has 24 hour Pizza, Ice Cream, and a Soda Program. The Fantasy class ships pack plenty of fun so no worries. I haven't sailed on her recently.

The Fantasy Class is an older design, but there are a few things I like about that class. It has 4 decks of cabins on the bottom and upper decks are dedicated to dining and entertainment.

You can start in the Lobby on Empress deck and keep going up until you are on the open deck.

The newer ships have put the dining and entertainment in the middle of the passenger decks.

Exactly! http://bestsmileys.com/thumbs/7.gif

I always try to get a cabin on Empress between the forward and middle elevators. It's so easy to get everywhere from there.

Don't forget the Spirit class has the dining room all the way aft and most of the entertainment rooms run stem to stern on two decks.

My cabin is on the Empress floor...

I LOVE the Fantasy class boats. They are easy to find your way around and they have a special charm. I'm getting ready to go on one next month! I know you'll have a great time. I've said it many times...there is no such thing as a bad cruise. There are cruises I've enjoyed more than others...but NEVER a BAD ONE!! And I always look forward to a rousing chorus is LEEEVEEENG ON A FUN SHEEEP...

Here is a good way to remember what is a boat and what is a ship..When you are on the lido deck looking over at the life boats, those are boats, what you are standing on is a ship.
