well we couldnt book the day early because of an wedding i am in.so i had to book the earliest flight on american.it leaves at 620 am arrives a 8am, got a good deal $158.00ppr.. i pray for good weather,but the flight time is good that we have plenty of cushion,so if we have a hour or two flight delay,we still have plenty of time

Hmmm. well ok then. For anyone that hasn't already booked a same day flight an is curious as to whether that's a good idea or not, you can read the above responses and gain some insight.

Tim, I agree that 6AM seems like a safe flight. You should also look at the schedules and see what other flights go out that day too in case yours is canceled and you have to take another flight. If you have that info handy, you can use your cell phone at the airport and call the airline and rebook before the other passengers can make it to the ticketing counter and suck up all the seats.

thanks jim.. i tries to go a day early but me step daughter is getting married and we cant miss that,well i could lol.. but i appreciate all the info everyone.. but here in atlanta it never rains we are in a hugh drought we can get snow like last week 7in, but we cant get rain so with my luck we will have a freak storm that morning!!. i hope not

Good luck, I hope everything goes smoothly. Also take the Carnival Hot-line number, just in case. I pray you will make it, and hopefully you can go down early the next time. It's just so much less stressful when you know you're there. It's way too expensive to have to meet the ship at a port of call to catch up with the cruise.

Tim, I'd also look into travel insurance that includes missed connection insurance.

We are going to do that because it is still hurrican season, thanks sandy
