On our first cruise on the Sensation to the Bahamas we took a 12 pack of pepsi ( got on sale at Wal-mart for $2.50 ) and took a 12 pack of water with us as well that we got pretty cheap. We took soda to the pool in the cans in my purse and asked for a cup of ice at the bar. We also took a few cans of soda with us on our excursion. We just asked for a cup of ice. When we went on our next cruise in August 09, we decided that because our daughter was only 14 (one of our daughters, we have 2 others who are older), that we didn't want Erin walking back to the room by herself to get a can if she ran out. It was a hassle to carry those soda cans and bottles everywhere, so we decided to get her the soda card instead. We didn't drink too much of the water on the first cruise we went on and actually brought soda cans and water bottles home. So, we did it once and realized that for us it was just too much to carry around and we liked the convenience of having the soda card!
